13:19:03 <tedcx> I'm trying to run gnucash over "ssh -X -A server" and am getting The program 'gnucash' received an X Window System error. The error was 'BadAccess (attempt to access private resource denied)'.
13:21:54 <warlord> Are you sure your DISPLAY is set correctly? And xauth? Can you forward other X apps?
13:22:03 <warlord> (and can you forward other Gnome apps?)
13:23:00 <tedcx> think I found it "ssh -Y -A server" its an ssh forwarding setting
13:27:59 <warlord> Ah, that could do it. :)
13:30:19 <tedcx> any thoughts to including precious metals in the select currency dropdown list?
13:34:19 <warlord> Um, they are already there.
13:34:30 <warlord> I see XAU, XAG, ...

13:40:53 *** Gregor has joined #gnucash
13:41:11 <Gregor> I've got a bug with the gnucash lock file
13:41:52 <Gregor> It's in my dropbox folder, but my friend with the same dropbox folder doesn't have read premossions
13:42:05 <Gregor> Even though I set everyone to "read and write"
13:42:58 <Gregor> Any ideas?
13:46:54 <warlord> Sounds like a dropbox issue
13:51:25 <Gregor> Hmm, okay
13:53:54 *** tedcx has left #gnucash
13:56:01 <warlord> make sure everyone can actually read/write?
13:56:39 *** kpreid has quit IRC
13:58:39 <Gregor> Eh, I did, it's not working though
13:59:59 <warlord> then I recommend you work with dropbox to fix it. I'm afraid we are not dropbox support. sorry.

21:53:39 <Antisoche> I have a set of transactions I need to straighten out. I've filtered my view down to just the ones I'm interested in. I want to print these out so I can scribble over them. That looks like it's not an option. What are my alternatives?
21:54:16 <jsled> If you generate a Transaction Report in that view, then print it?
21:54:23 <warlord> From the filtered view register: Reports -> Account Report
21:55:20 <Antisoche> Aha. Thanks. Went File->Print, then View->nothing and got confused. :)
21:56:15 <jsled> c'mon, you know gnucash better than that by now! ;)
21:56:27 <jsled> File > Print would be too obvious.
21:56:57 <Antisoche> It's been a long week of entering transactions... B-/
22:03:36 <Antisoche> Wow I'm confused. In my report all I have are the + splits and - splits of each side of a transaction. For every value 'n' a value '-n' follows it. But the reports says I have a $37 net change.
22:04:41 <Antisoche> ahh - I turned off the running balance & that's what it's summing.

23:45:55 <Antisoche> Priase Bob I think I'm done!
23:46:33 <Antisoche> Well, with my investment accounts.
23:47:35 <Antisoche> All transactions from 2004 forward are explainable, except 2 in 2007. Somehow I got mystery money.
