19:18:02 <marcusb> hi. I am using gnucash 2.2.9 and still seem to be hit by split-transactions-with-multiple-currencies problems. I entered old transactions in DEM and on the EUR side some fields are empty (while the whole thing is shown as balanced). Now I face the problem of how to cleaning up old entries (atm I don't plan to add more entries). any tips? thanks!
19:31:06 <marcusb> ok I found out why it still happens: If the split transaction is filled in by auto completion based on the description name + <tab>, the system does not ask for a exchange rate and the field is left blank on the other side. I'll add this to the bug report
19:38:08 <marcusb> it's not consistent though, argh. oh well
19:45:26 <marcusb> it would be possible for gnucash to scan for unusual exchange rates like 1:0 though, and warn about them and offer to fix them up
