09:28:11 <sydw> I moved my files from gc 2.0.2 to a system running 2.2.9 and my main file suddenly can't be parsed. I try opening some .xac files and they open ok, but when I save the file and try opening it again, it says "error parsing file". Any idea how I can fix?
09:33:48 <kimmo> I had a problem like that a year ago when moving from 2.0.x to 2.2.6, I solved that by disabling encryption/compression
09:45:00 <sydw> Hmmm... thanks, kimmo. I don't have encryption enabled (though maybe I should). I might be experiencing this bug https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=493734#c16
09:53:03 <sydw> in fact that turned out to be the case. If I open the file in 2.0.2 and remove all the scheduled transactions (there were only 3) I can open and save and reopen the file.
09:53:09 <sydw> thanks anyway!

12:45:36 <scar> suppose i get these 3/page checks. will it work if i only print one check at a time, then tear it out thus making the sheet shorter?
12:45:51 <warlord> Yes
12:46:30 <warlord> There are two ways you can do it. 1, you can start with the bottom check.. Or 2, you can start with the top check and as you rip them off your second check would now become check #1

22:19:13 <webdev> hi. my HD recently crashed and using photorec i was able to recover alot of "text" files that have information about my gnucash entries. Each section starts with ===== START and ends with ====== END
22:19:39 <webdev> does somebody know what I am looking at and whether or not i can recreate my gnucash entries ?
