09:54:16 <SmokeyD> I am trying to copy my 2009 gnucash file into an empty 2010 one, but while keeping the customers,vendors,jobs,etc (it worked in previous years). So I am copying the 2009.gnc file into 2010.gnc and taking out the gnc:Entry gnc:Transaction gnc:Invoice tags (and adjusting the gnc:account-data tags). But I get a parse error from gnucash, while the file is welformed XML. So there must be somthing else.

16:24:02 <warlord> There is no way to export from gnucash a partial file to be re-imported. You can use GnuCash2QIF to convert a complete datafile to QIF and them import.
16:27:21 <warlord> @tell SmokeyD no, there are no schema files for GNC. Certainly nothing normative. As for your parse error, don't know what to tell you. It might be easier to do File -> Export Accounts and then re-add the biz objects.
