09:55:01 <warlord> gour: sounds good to me
09:59:41 <gour> warlord: yep, it is. we might see guile-2.0 in gnucash sooner than later :-)
10:00:29 <warlord> Well, unless 2.0 is 100% API-compatible with 1.8 I doubt it will happen in the 2.4 timeframe
10:01:15 <gour> ahh...no idea about it

12:04:04 <wingo-pi> greets
12:04:21 <gour> hiya wingo-pi
12:04:39 <warlord> gour: I'm pretty sure that gnucash removed all gh_* usage.
12:05:03 <gour> warlord: wingo-pi is one of the Guilers ;)
12:05:20 <warlord> Yes, I figured that based on the pastebin ;)
12:05:28 <wingo-pi> heh ;)
12:05:45 <wingo-pi> i am one of three maintainers
12:06:05 <gour> warlord: i'm just asked (#guile) "Does gnucacsh require copyright assignment? "
12:06:30 <warlord> Okay, there are a few gh_ calls. The one in particular is: gh_scm2newstr().
12:06:38 <warlord> (but only a single use)
12:06:41 * gour is gnucash/guile noob learning about the both
12:06:47 <wingo-pi> i would like to release a 2.0 next month, but in order to do that i'd like all apps on http://hydra.nixos.org/jobset/nixpkgs/guile2test to build fine with 2.0, which is a little ambitious for a month
12:07:25 <wingo-pi> we've been focusing on features until now, but we're ready to focus on docs and compatibility now
12:07:31 <warlord> gour: we have no official copyright assignment policy
12:07:44 <gour> warlord: thanks
12:08:47 <warlord> wingo-pi: understood. Basically it looks like we only have a single instance of a gh_ function, which is a single instance of gh_scm2newstr
12:09:16 <warlord> ... and that's only true #ifdef USE_GUILE_FOR_DOUBLE_CONVERSION
12:10:21 <warlord> ... which I don't see defined anywhere.. So we probably don't.
12:10:33 <wingo-pi> warlord: ok. i've never actually used the gh interface -- i started with guile after it was deprecated. but i'll work on getting gnucash to build with both 1.8 and 2.0 this week, and see what problems/patches are needed
12:10:39 <warlord> are there any other deprecated functions in 2.0?
12:10:50 <warlord> wingo-pi: great!
12:11:04 <wingo-pi> there are some changes, but not as big as 1.6->1.8 i don't think
12:11:42 <warlord> IIRC 1.4->1.6 was bigger than 1.6->1.8
12:12:02 <wingo-pi> do you still support 1.6?
12:12:12 <warlord> At one point we were supporting 1.3.4, 1.4, and 1.6!! We had a guile-mappings.h file to create a common API.
12:12:47 <warlord> (see the current file for some 1.6 -> 1.8 mappings)
12:12:47 <wingo-pi> heh, reminds me when i hacked on gstreamer and we had shims between gtk 1.2 and 1.3... ugly ;)
12:12:49 <gour> sounds good
12:12:53 <wingo-pi> k, cool :)
12:13:46 <warlord> Luckliy the shim is pretty small. see src/guile-mappings.h

15:01:45 <mib_rcf6z1> hello. I'm trying to figure out the receivable aging report. There is one client listed on the report even though the balance is 0. This customer report shows 0 balance in total, but a balance for 0-30 days, and a negative balance for the same amount for 91+ days.
15:05:08 <KaiForce> anyone using PNC Bank & downloading transactions? I'm with National City now but they have this buyout deal going down and after April 9 I may be in for it.

21:44:38 <ewd> Only been using gnucash for a month or so. Gnucash crashed after clicking ok on scheduled "Since Last Run" and now the entries that were supposed to be created were removed (permanantly) from the schedule. Any thoughts on this, like how to recover/prevent?

23:25:10 <warlord> ewd: What OS/Distro?
23:25:18 <warlord> And what version of GnuCash?
23:37:23 <ewd> v2.2.9 on Ubuntu 9.10
23:44:03 <warlord> hmm... if it crashed the it should recreate it next time it starts
23:57:50 <ewd> That's the thing. I ran the Since Last Run list, changed a couple of items from Postponed to Create and clicked Ok. Gnucash crashed and when I reopened it those items were off the scheduled items list even though they are recurring. My concern is that if I start relying on the schedule I won't know what's falling off of it and so it would be nice to either figure out what's causing it and prvent it or maybe just print a report of the
23:57:50 <ewd> items and save it for reference. Is there a report? I didn't see one when I checked.
