05:20:28 <tg> I want to try the new database-backend, did a 2.3.10 tarball build on opensuse 11.2 with --enable-dbi and --with-test-mysql-url . In file dialogs there is a pull down to choose backends, but there are no entries in it other then xml. Any hints where to look? Configure and make did not complain.

11:36:51 <b0z0> Hi. Got a questions about the automatic currency quotes update. I created an account whose currency is Danish Kroner (DKK). My base currency is USD. The automatic currency quote system seems to get a rate of 1USD = 18.XXX DKK which is way off what it should be. It should be 1 USD = ~ 5 DKK. Am I doing something wrong? Where are the currency quotes taken from?

14:26:04 <cfp> a few questions on programatic generation of splits: 1) does a positive value/amount always correspond to a positive total value in the account, so e.g. a positive split in an expense account means an expense? 2) for currency acounts am i right in thinking i should set both amount and value to the same quantity?
14:26:34 <cfp> 3) when adding new splits in code does it do the same thing as when adding new splits in the gui, e.g. it creates a new split to an "Impalance" account in order to preserve balance?
