21:39:16 <JesseW_elsewhere> What controls the order that variables in scheduled transactions are listed in "Since last run..." dialog? i.e. why arn't they in alphabetical order?

21:55:36 <JesseW_elsewhere> I may have to leave pretty soon, but I will read the logs when I get back, so I would still be grateful for an answer if/when such is available.
22:00:27 <JesseW_elsewhere> Well, it seems to be done in this file: http://svn.gnucash.org/trac/browser/gnucash/trunk/src/gnome/dialog-sx-since-last-run.c?rev=

22:19:52 <JesseW_elsewhere> dammit. it looks like it is done by calling g_hash_table_foreach (), which (I presume, the docs don't seem to explicitly say) returns the hash table items in a random order. Dammit, dammit, I suppose I ought to send in a patch, and figure out how to backport it to the current version on Ubuntu Karmic. Dammit.
22:29:56 <Rob> Hey, can anyone help me with installing Finance::Quote?
22:30:37 <Rob> The instructions say to "open a root shell and run the command “gnc-fq-update”"
22:31:57 <Rob> Since I'm on Windows Vista, I took the root shell to mean a command window, but typing in gnc-fq-update results in a message that there's no such command
22:32:42 <Rob> So then I see that I'm supposed to have ActivePerl installed, but possibly version 5.8 and not the current version 5.10
22:32:58 <Rob> However that advice was from 2008
22:33:07 <Rob> So I don't know if it still applies
22:34:21 <Rob> So can anyone tell me if I should install ActivePerl 5.8 or 5.10 and, after doing that, if there's anything more, or can I then just open the command window again as I did before?
22:40:02 <JesseW_elsewhere> I don't know, sorry. Got to go -- please do answer my question, if possible, though -- I will check the logs.

23:22:45 <davisdrive> is there a recomended way to track bills that you don't owe?
23:23:52 <davisdrive> a way to enter that wouldn't change the financial picture, but could be changed later to a live account so to speak
