07:36:13 <Jaran> I sold all holdings which were in a non-default-currency and yet the balance sheet still shows an unrealized loss. Any explanation?
07:41:06 *** warlord-afk is now known as warlord
07:41:23 <warlord> did you account for the actual realized gain/loss when you sold it?
07:42:17 <Jaran> hmm not really
07:42:41 <Jaran> haven't really thought about it much, just wondered when i saw i still had that unrealized loss line in the balance sheet
07:42:59 <Jaran> hmm
07:44:08 <Jaran> i shall experiment a bit and come back when i'm running against a wall or become to confuzzled ;)
07:44:16 <Jaran> *too
07:44:58 <Jaran> but after thinking about it for now it kinda seems logical :P thanks!
07:45:40 <warlord> you're welcome
07:45:57 <Jaran> i've been using gnucash for 2 years now and love it
07:56:18 <warlord> Great! :)
07:56:39 <Jaran> aye!
07:57:11 <Jaran> gonna calc all losses and gains now of my past non-default-currency transactions and see if it adds up
07:57:27 <Jaran> hmm
08:00:52 <Jimraehl> Last night's Windows build failed, while compiling qofbook.c from R1849:

08:12:52 <warlord> Yeah, I saw your mail. It needs guile_incs and guile_libs in Makefile.am
08:13:30 <Jimraehl> Aha, the fix is known. Thanks.
08:19:31 <warlord> Someone just needs to do it. I need to run

14:53:51 <TauPan> hi. I just checked out svn to see if I can csv import my credit card balances. Unfortunately I get a crash. Should I send it to the mailing list, or file it on trac? Or is it unimportant because csv is a moving target anyway?
14:54:50 <TauPan> ah, I just found the bugzilla...
14:55:43 <TauPan> my backtrace looks very different from the one in https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=571161# so I guess it's a new bug

15:35:30 <TauPan> interesting, if I do export MALLOC_CHECK_=3
15:35:35 <TauPan> there's no crash

18:53:13 <lloyd> I am having trouble deleting an "imbalance" split from a "Closing Entries" multiple split transaction.
18:53:59 <lloyd> in gnucash 2.2.6, on Linux
18:54:42 *** daedeloth has quit IRC
18:55:13 <lloyd> My "close book" transaction, with a split for each account that was closed, is in my "2009 yearend summary" equity account.
18:56:25 <lloyd> If make some correction to a "closing entry" split, it creates an entry against the "imbalance" account that I can't get rid of.
19:04:17 <lloyd> It's pretty silent in here for a chat with some 32 people!
