02:06:38 <tstellar> I am some transactions that involve more than 1 account stored in a csv file that I would like to import to gnucash. Is there a standard csv format I should be using?
02:08:14 <jsled> no. but there's no good CSV import facility, either.
02:09:33 <jsled> do the transactions involve more than 2 accounts?
02:09:49 <jsled> all transactions involve more than one account
02:11:36 <tstellar> Each individual transaction involves 1 account, but the whole list involves several accounts.
02:12:17 <jsled> in double-entry, transactions involve at least two accounts.
02:13:57 <tstellar> You're right, each transaction actually involves 2 accounts.
02:14:33 <jsled> one's implicit, I imagine?
02:15:29 <tstellar> Yes.
02:16:06 <jsled> tstellar: are you familiar with gnucash's Transaction/Split model?
02:17:43 <jsled> in short, if those items in the CSV file are really "Splits", then I'm not sure either the OFX or QIF importer will be able to map to gnucash data. If each CSV line-item really is a Gnucash "Transaction", though … then I'd recommend either translating the CSV to QIF, or just using QIF directly if that's easier
02:19:54 <tstellar> The csv file does not really have splits, I was hoping I could write a script that would convert my csv file to something gnucash would accept. I'll try using the QIF instead, that might be easier.
02:22:40 <tstellar> btw, I noticed there is a .gitignore file in the svn repository. Is there a git tree for gnucash?
02:24:20 <jsled> some use git-svn. There might be a public git mirror somewhere, but non-officially.
02:24:24 <jsled> I don't recall.

03:14:34 <kimmo_> how about just converting the csv file to gnucash log file format and use the log replay?

09:41:08 <Shad> I'm new to gnucash, and love it. My question is the font and line spacing size. I used it several years ago and was able to increase the font size, problem is i dont remember which file to tweak to adjust it.
