00:48:19 <dbreiser> warlord: do you know offhand where the code that loads libgnc-core-utils is? that seems to be the only case where gnucash is trying to dlopen a .so instead of a .dylib
00:49:00 <dbreiser> if I make a symlink .so->.dylib, gnucash launches, and at least many things work (OS X 10.6)
00:49:32 <warlord> sorry, i'm not sure.
00:50:35 <dbreiser> OK. I'll look some more. If necessary, I can punt and include the symlink in the packaging.

11:52:52 <gerold> hi, I am having a problem after adding a new account under equipment and its corresponding depreciation account.
11:53:17 <gerold> They are not showing up in the amount for equipment in the standard balance sheet report.
11:53:42 <gerold> Is there something special one has to do to make it be taken into account?
11:54:16 <gerold> I am running version 2.2.9 on debian linux
11:55:19 <gerold> Anyone know the problem or a workaround?
11:55:48 <gerold> I wanted to add another category for my professional books, instead of adding them to Furniture...
11:56:19 <gerold> Any help greatly appreciated
12:04:18 <gerold> I just set the levels of subaccounts to 4, and I can see the depreciation books account is working
12:04:32 <gerold> The problem is with the new equipment account...
12:04:48 <gerold> I shows a value of zero

12:12:39 <gerold> hi warlord
12:12:54 <warlord> good morning
12:13:27 <gerold> I found a solution to the problem. I deleted the transaction within the books account, then deleted the account.
12:13:57 <gerold> I reconstructed the books account with an initial balance and then it worked...
12:14:22 <gerold> mystery for me why it did not work until now though.
12:15:39 <warlord> glad you got it all working.

18:46:51 <xi1> hello, I am using gnucash 2.2.6 with Finance::Quote 1.16 - the "Get Quotes" button fails to locate currency lookups - I get an error like "Unable to retrieve quote for EUR" ...
18:47:07 <xi1> when I run gnc-fq-dump or gnc-fq-helper on currency lookups, they fail
18:47:12 <xi1> all stock lookups work ok
18:47:15 <xi1> example:
18:47:21 <xi1> > gnc-fq-helper
18:47:25 <xi1> (currency "EUR""USD")
18:47:29 <xi1> (#f)
18:47:44 <xi1> :(
18:48:09 <xi1> > gnc-fq-dump currency EUR USD
18:48:10 <xi1> 1 EUR = <unknown> USD
18:48:17 <warlord> known issue with F::Q. Read the -user archives. You need to patch F::Q
18:48:30 <xi1> oh ok
