12:08:28 <mib_c13eij> Hi There
12:09:06 <mib_c13eij> Just got a quick query to put out there and see if other people are having the same problem... Every time I enter a budget figure, and then move over to the next cell, the value disappears
12:09:13 <mib_c13eij> Anyone else had that problem?
12:15:41 <warlord> Sorry, I've never played with budgets.

14:38:38 <KaiForce> National City Bank suddenly says "application or version unsupported" when I'm trying to pull transactions

14:47:46 <KaiForce> is there a central repository for this type of issue.
14:47:59 <KaiForce> I'm on the line with them now, and the support guy is a total jackass
14:48:34 <jsled> what sort of repository?
15:02:20 <KaiForce> never mind, I found the problem. I updated GnuCash and NCB requires that you hex edit modify a DLL to change the appver
15:03:20 <jsled> I'm sure some would appreciate it if you could post the details to the wiki or mailing list.
15:09:29 <KaiForce> i think i found it on the wiki, let me see
15:10:34 <KaiForce> yeah it is there at the bottom of this page:

19:40:44 <jsled> fuse512: please don't meta-ask, just ask your question and wait as long as you can.
19:43:46 <fuse512> sorry, my question was: when importing two different accounts in qif format, and they have transactions between them, is there an easy way to combine these, even if they have different descriptions?
19:45:50 *** warlord-afk is now known as warlord
19:47:06 <warlord> fuse512: it depends on whether the two accounts have qif accounts that point to each other or not... If so, you can load both files simultaneously and it will notice that L[Acct2] in Acct1 matches Acct2 and L[Acct1] in Acct2 matches Acct1.
19:47:43 <warlord> But if you DONT have qif account pointers, you might be better off importing them separately, making sure you do the correct account assignments, and then during the duplicate check you can mark the second import as a dup.
19:48:00 <fuse512> ah ok, and if not, i will just need to go though and remove one entry and point the other to the correct account?
19:48:50 <warlord> life would be easier if you assigned the accounts properly in the importer
19:49:57 <fuse512> unfortunitly they come from the bank like that, but I might be able to do a find and replace on the files before I import perhaps
19:50:28 <warlord> I'm sorry, "come form the bank like that"? Like what?
19:51:08 <fuse512> you can download your account transactions in qif format, which i then import into gnucash
19:51:42 <warlord> right.............
19:51:47 *** cortana has quit IRC
19:52:20 <fuse512> definatly not ideal i know, i'll probably change banks when i get around to it
19:53:22 <warlord> my point is that you might not need to modify the QIF.
19:53:49 <warlord> Depending on how the qif looks like you might be able to import them in two imports.. Or you might be able to load them both into one import process..
19:54:53 <fuse512> ah ok, i see. that makes sense, inport, balance, import, balance would probably be cleaner
19:55:19 <warlord> it depends on the qif.
19:55:20 <fuse512> cool, thanks warlod
19:56:21 <warlord> you're welcome
