18:52:56 <JimRaehl2> I successfully built the Windows Gnucash per http://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/Windows under Win XP, but have several questions. #1 -- is /soft/packaging/reset.sh the preferred way to clean up a messy build attempt? I made quite a mess while trying to build under Windows 2000. reset.sh did wipe out a lot of /soft folders, enabling a cleaner build.
18:54:57 <JimRaehl2> #2 -- I had an incomplete HTMLHELP install under Win 2000, which reset.sh apparently didn't remove. Is renaming or deleting /soft/hh the preferred way to force a reload of HTMLHELP?
18:56:24 <JimRaehl2> #3 -- there was a long list of export/echo command pairs listed to be done, when the Gnucash build finished. I did the commands, but was that necessary, and if so why.
18:58:19 <JimRaehl2> #4 -- Is /o/soft/gnucash/inst/bin/gnucash the way to start the Gnucash binary. It seems to work fine.
19:00:55 <JimRaehl2> #5 -- are there any known errors in the new /soft/packaging/install.sh? I tried the Saturday version, and got an error about a file not found, while building Gnucash executable. Unfortuantely, I didn't copy the message, so kind of vague. Using the install.sh I downloaded May 31 works fine, so some new change since then muszt be the culprit.
19:01:28 <JimRaehl2> (End of questions for now)
19:03:39 <JimRaehl2> One more #6 -- now that I've built the executable, where do I read about obtaining, modifying, and compiling sources. I didn't see any actual sources in the /soft folder structure.

19:18:11 <JimRaehl2> Aha, I think #6 is explained by modifying sources in \SOFT\gnucash\repos\src and rebuilding
19:18:23 <Rafael> has anybody moved from microsft money to gnucash?
19:18:23 <gncbot> Rafael: Sent 4 days, 11 hours, and 42 minutes ago: <warlord> As I said before, your best bet is to just ask your question(s) on the gnucash-user mailing list.. You'll get a quicker answer from people than asking here every 3 days.
19:23:01 <Rafael> what is the best way to move from microsoft money to gnucash and
19:23:20 <Rafael> can you do payments from gnucash in a safe way?
