11:32:03 <warlord> clearly not answering over the weekend was the right thing for me to do. :)
11:33:10 <jsled> yes
11:36:30 <warlord> I'm still thinking about not responding, even though I'm PO'd about his "100 button falacy" statement.
11:37:00 <warlord> But he clearly doesn't understand that he's not the only person asking for new features or changes to the UI.. And if we added a button for every request we WOULD quickly get to 100 buttons.

12:28:01 <alicem> Hi how do I create a vat report for my 3 month uk vat period - the accounts are all set up and working - but I don't know how I pull the vat figures out?
12:42:55 <warlord> GnUCash does not have a "Vat Report" per se.
12:43:18 <warlord> You could probably use some other report and configure it for what you need.

12:46:56 *** vitoc has joined #gnucash
12:48:33 <alicem> I am not sure how to do this - put simply I need to know the separate totals of my 2 vat accounts, vat input and vat output on a specific date and also the total value of sales and purchases (excluding the vat which has been input as a split transaction) on that date - I will then have all the figures I need for my vat form
12:49:29 <warlord> Use an Account Summary Report?
12:50:38 <alicem> I looked at this but it just generates the report it does not seem to give me an option to specify a date
12:54:08 <warlord> Sure it does; did you look in the Report Options?
12:56:40 <alicem> ah - thanks I see what you mean - that's what I was looking for - thanks for your help

16:09:17 <trokep> Hi. I seem to remember there used to be a way of dealing with End of Year in gnucash. It is a while since I 've used the programme, is the facility still there?

21:41:23 <teya> hello, i have a problem with importing qfx files.. specifically i have one from a checking account and one from a visa account
21:41:47 <teya> when i assign all the transactions to accounts, it creates a duplicate transaction
21:42:07 <teya> could anyone please tell me what i should do to merge those transactions?
21:42:18 <teya> or should i just delete one of them?
