15:41:23 <rockfreak> good evening (here anyway) I have created a vendor but they charge VAT on the bills. Now i need to create a tax table for this but what account do i set the tax table to..?
15:44:23 <warlord> Whatever Asset/Liability/Expense account you want to use to keep track of the VAT.
15:47:45 <rockfreak> so if i make a VAT account in expenses I should point it to there?
15:48:33 <warlord> yes
15:57:14 *** hvx has quit IRC
16:00:28 <rockfreak> excellent thankyou again warlord!
16:00:53 <warlord> you're welcome

16:23:15 <sirio> hi there! i am not sure whether i just overlooked this information, but i haven't found it: i query to accounts via hbci. there are a lot of transactions between those accounts - how do i map two transaction in gnucash to each other? is this possible?
16:24:50 <warlord> You need to specify them in the import gui
16:28:17 <sirio> okay. something i dont get... is there documentation on this somewhere?
16:29:37 <sirio> oh wait. i see i have a typo there that may lead to confusion.
16:30:15 <sirio> i query two accounts via hbci. there are a lot of transactions between those accounts - how do i map two transaction in gnucash to each other? is this possible?
16:30:20 <sirio> like that...
16:30:27 <sirio> does that change something?
16:31:42 *** rockfreak has quit IRC
16:35:06 <warlord> Nope, doesn't change anything. In the UI double-click to assign the accounts.. And most likely you'll need to mark them as duplicates.
16:35:16 <warlord> For more information you should try asking on the gnucash-de mailing list.
16:37:34 <sirio> duplicates?
16:37:35 <sirio> huh....
16:37:43 <sirio> okay. i see i need to read more documentation....

18:15:35 <jsled> if you're not already, you need to tell us what you don't get.
18:33:01 <sirio> jsled: i am importing transactions with gnucash/hbci from two bank-accounts into check and saving accounts, and i need to match transactions between those two accounts and i seem to be blind. i just don't find a way to do that
