15:14:50 <smacnay> When I process a customer's payment to my chequing account and I have already deposited the cheque (so the amount has already appeared in the account), will I get a double-deposit?
15:15:04 <smacnay> This is processing from a sent invoice.

20:18:06 <mikemorr> Is there a keyboard shortcut to open the split on the current transaction (instead of clicking the Split button)?
20:26:27 *** andyt has quit IRC
20:32:35 <jsled> mikemorr: there's not a direct shortcut, but a) I think you can get the transaction menu, then split in a couple of keystokes, and b) use the Auto-Split ledger anyways. :)
20:33:02 * jsled afks again
20:36:53 <mikemorr> Thanks jsled, the Auto-Split ledger helps a lot.

21:18:40 <rockfreak> good morning. Can i make scheduled invoice in gnu cash?
21:50:38 *** warlord-afk is now known as warlord
21:51:10 <warlord> smacnay: what do you mean by "already deposited the cheque" in gnucash terms?
21:51:41 <warlord> As far as gnucash is concerned you need to Process Payment.. How/when you actually deposit the check is up to you.
21:52:10 <warlord> foo: Process Payment to your checking account and then manually change it from Checking to Expenses:Write Off
21:52:26 <warlord> rockfreak: no
21:56:00 <rockfreak> warlord: thankyou but i can schedule transations correct?
21:56:21 <warlord> Yes, but not invoice-related txns
21:57:52 <rockfreak> ok thank you. On another note. I want to intergrate gnucash into my billing system so when an invoice is made it then inserts into gnucash. For this i would need to know what records are created when an invoice is made. Is there any sort of documentation for that at all?
21:58:52 <warlord> the source code?
22:00:04 <rockfreak> wasn't sure if you knew what was created in the xml code when you make an invoice. If you don't thats not a problem I shall look through the source code and work it out. Just thought i'd ask just in case :-)
22:00:39 <foo> warlord: ok, thanks
22:01:45 <warlord> rockfreak: well, there's an invoice object, and all its line-item entries... and then when it's posted it creates a txn with the appropriate business metadata
22:06:21 <rockfreak> cool excellent thankyou! That way I can then automated my invoices :-)
