09:44:33 <mikemorr> Hi all. On http://svn.gnucash.org/docs/guide/basics-backup1.html#basics-backuplog2 I'm unsure of what is meant by "Changes to the scheduled transactions, invoices of bills themselves are NOT recovered". Should it be "or" instead of "of"?

14:05:53 <warlord> Thanks jaran
14:06:15 <warlord> FYI, I've only got about 15-20 minutes before I have to leave.
14:07:35 <marcot1> I've added the options used in account-summary to trial-balance, and called gnc:html-table-add-account-balances with build-table and acct-table, and the same params in gnc:html-table-add-account-balances...
14:07:48 <marcot1> from account-summary
14:09:04 <marcot1> And what I've got is a report with only $0,00

14:09:40 <marcot1> Whatever option I've set.
14:10:00 <marcot1> My problem is not with scheme, but with the gnucash API.
14:10:57 <warlord> We dont have docs of the scheme api per se. We have docs of the C API and the scheme wrappers use that.
14:11:08 <warlord> http://cvs.gnucash.org/docs/HEAD/
14:11:57 <warlord> By "calling with the same params" do you mean you're calling with the exact same named parameters, or that you're calling with the exact same 'data'?
14:12:45 <marcot1> warlord: The same named parameters, which are user specified options, and I've added these options too.
14:13:05 <warlord> And do you load those options before you pass them down?
14:13:53 <marcot1> warlord: Yes, I've done everything account-summary does.
14:14:36 <warlord> Well, obviously not "everything" or it would be working ;)
14:14:52 <marcot1> warlord: I thought that the tables were not compatible maybe..
14:15:03 <marcot1> warlord: http://marcot.iaaeee.org/trial-balance.scm
14:15:24 <marcot1> warlord: it's based on the version in gnucash 2.2.6
14:15:25 <warlord> So, you added the option definitions to the options-generator, you lookup the option in your new code.. you setup the correct txn query..
14:15:32 <warlord> marcot1: show me the diff, please/
14:16:15 <warlord> (preferably diff -ub so it ignores white space)
14:17:43 <marcot1> warlord: http://marcot.iaaeee.org/trial-balance.scm.diff
14:19:32 <marcot1> warlord: I got it.
14:20:09 <warlord> oh?
14:20:10 <marcot1> warlord: it has worked when I removed parent-total-mode from 'parent-account-subtotal-mode .

22:21:26 <arlie> Hi - I've got what I hope is a simple question. Using gnucash on Debian-stable, gnucash version 2.0.5 - accounts no open as tabs in a single window, which is fine - but I cannot figure out how to _close_ any of these tabs, even when I exit gnucash, which is NOT fine.
22:22:02 <arlie> that should be _now_ open. the gnucash version that came with previous debian version didn't have the tab feature
22:22:54 <arlie> net result is a mess, with account I access maybe once a year opening automatically whenever I start gnucash. ugh
22:26:54 <mikemorr> Ctrl-W or the Close button on the toolbar don't close the tab? Those work for me in v2.2.8 on Windows.
22:27:19 <arlie> no close button, unless it's disguised as something else
22:27:27 <arlie> let's see if ctrl-w works
22:27:43 <arlie> aha - it does
22:27:46 <arlie> thank you!
22:28:24 <mikemorr> Happy to help. :)
22:28:50 <arlie> nice to be able to just pop up here and ask. thanks for being here
22:29:56 <arlie> you just saved me from a quicken upgrade ;-) was the last aggravation preventing my complete conversion
22:30:20 <mikemorr> My Close button has a gray X icon. It's in the toolbar that goes "Save, Close, Duplicate, Delete" etc.
22:30:54 <mikemorr> Maybe the toolbar is customizable (removable buttons), though.
22:31:05 <arlie> ah - I think I know what confused me. My prior version of quicken had a close that closed the whole file, not an individual account.
22:31:27 <arlie> left me having to figure out where the accounting file was and tell it
22:31:57 <arlie> because that button is indeed there. except I was sure I knew what it did, and didn't try it
22:33:14 <mikemorr> :)
22:34:02 <arlie> time to read more of the docs, now that I've looked for them. I didn't read anything when I upgraded to this version - was upgrading the whole OS, after a computer failure, and too much else on my mind

22:34:44 <arlie> it did fix one gnucash aggravation as a side effect though, which was good
