13:10:19 <foo> Is there a version of the GNUCash documentation that is all in one file instead of split HTML, in such a format that I could print it in its entirety?
13:10:47 <warlord> Search the email lists for a PDF URL.
13:12:27 <foo> Could you point me to the e-mail lists please?
13:15:03 <warlord> www.gnucash.org -- look on the left side menu
13:17:52 <foo> warlord: Thank you. :)

13:26:37 <BillBored> what circumstances causes .qif imported transactions to create new accounts with a "2" suffix - rather that post to intended accounts?
13:26:47 <BillBored> ...or better question...
13:27:25 <BillBored> Anyway to turn up the error/warning message level? There must be a way to get a clue from the program during import.
13:37:45 <warlord> BillBored: incorrect type or currency?
13:38:11 <BillBored> Maybe - the problem is related to accounts of type stock.
13:38:41 <BillBored> I've got 'Q' lines in the QIF
13:39:07 <BillBored> But probably not encoded correctly... need clues or model to diagnose
13:44:03 <warlord> Charles Day would be the guy to ask.
13:44:11 <warlord> He's the resident QIF Importer Guru
13:44:31 <BillBored> He hangs out here?
13:44:39 <warlord> rarely
13:57:20 <warlord> your best bet will be to ask on gnucash-user, but it might take a day to figure it all out.
13:57:27 <warlord> ... or read the code :)
14:16:10 <BillBored> I didn't know there was another gnucash IRC channel. Apparently not on this server.

21:38:35 <joshua> Does anyone know of a good easy to install (like apt-get-able in Ubuntu) editor that matches parenthesis? I usually use Bluefish, but I can't find an option for highlighting parenthesis, and I tried GVIM but that looks like it will only match them when both are on the screen.
21:39:05 <warlord> emacs
21:39:49 <joshua> thanks - installing now
21:41:05 <joshua> are there any special plugins or anything that make editing scheme easier?
21:41:16 <warlord> Nope.
22:08:17 <joshua> I can't get it to match parenthesis if I need to scroll down to see one of them.
22:08:38 <joshua> The scrolling moves the cursor
22:09:01 <warlord> Yeah, but it will tell you when it's matched in the mini-buffer..
22:09:07 <warlord> and by auto-indent.
22:11:00 <joshua> ah. i think i see. i can split the screen
22:11:52 <warlord> There is that, too.
22:12:00 <warlord> C-x 2
22:12:31 <joshua> i've never used emacs before. or edited scheme
22:12:58 <warlord> emacs is all about finger-macros
22:21:34 *** JimRaehl has left #gnucash
22:21:50 <joshua> thanks for the help - found the missing parenthesis.
22:22:12 <warlord> cool
