10:03:16 <KentonSmith> Good morning. I just installed GnuCash 2.2.5 on a Windoze 2000 PC. As soon as I brought it up, an error dialog that simply stated that the application had generated errors popped up. Every time I clicked OK on the error dialog, another one popped up. Eventually I had to go into Task Manager and end the gnucash process. Any ideas, anyone?

12:09:14 <sophacles> Hi all, im not sure im understanding the docs on "how to do a mortgage" with gnucash. Specifically, Im unsure of how to handle the account setup, in relation to the mortgage druid, and also unsure of how the down payment should be handled. Particularly vexing for me, is this: i wrote a check to the title company, for $TC, which turned out to be more than the actual payement due the bank at closing, and got a check back
12:09:14 <sophacles> from the title company for $REF. any guidance on setting this up?
12:14:02 <warlord> Assuming you're in the USA, your check to the title company is unrelated to the mortgage, and the refund is just a rebate of your expense, so you'd book it in reverse.
12:15:07 <warlord> Unfortunately I need to head out to a reception. BBL.

13:12:56 <Pupeno> I've just moved from Ireland, with Euros, to Switzerland, with Franks. I know have a CHF-based bank account and do my expenses in CHFs, I get paid in CHFs, and so on. What should I don in GNUCash?

13:42:00 <andi5> lol
