00:17:14 <fell> andrewsw, why not simple change summary and severity?
00:17:40 <andrewsw> fell: certainly, it's your bug... ;)
00:18:58 <fell> I allway fear a counter overflow ;)
00:19:33 <andrewsw> actually, as I think about it, with the first comments being really irrelevant, I'd prefer a new bug that more accurately describes the situation.
00:19:50 <andrewsw> plus you can get some bugzilla points... hehehe
00:20:40 <andrewsw> essentially, explain that the appropriate dialogs should warn/prevent when there is no appropriate account.
00:21:28 <andrewsw> as it stands, it won't get the right attention. all my opinion though, you may do as you like.
00:22:03 <andrewsw> Besides, its our job to try and overflow the counter to make sure it handles that case properly.... ;)

01:00:48 <fell> ok, make worked again after svn co,... . Possible autogen would be sufficient as starting point.

01:54:31 <dbreiser> I've updated http://www.pastebin.ca/824939 with the crash I can repeat in OS X 10.5.1/Intel
01:54:59 <dbreiser> time to crash. I'll be back for more advice/help.

10:47:09 <dbreiser> It seems the only information I can get about my SX crash on closing is in http://www.pastebin.ca/824939
10:47:33 <dbreiser> OS X 10.5 is way stingier with backtrace info than 10.4 was
10:47:43 <warlord> that's too bad.
10:47:59 <dbreiser> any ideas what I can try?
10:49:05 <dbreiser> It might be an old-gnome problem
10:49:40 <dbreiser> I'll try getting a 2.20 gnome in fink checkout to see if the sx crash goes away.
10:50:02 <dbreiser> the new gnome should be public in a few weeks
10:50:27 <dbreiser> I can get it now, it's just I have to commandeer my wife's machine for a while
10:57:56 <warlord> You can't get a better crash dump under gdb?
10:58:11 <dbreiser> nope
10:58:32 <warlord> Wait.. Why is g_hash_table_remove_all() calling gnc_sx_variable_new_full() ??
10:58:50 <dbreiser> it's actually a bit worse, since the gdb backtrace doesn't even mention thread 1
10:59:21 <dbreiser> I wouldn't have a clue about that. Should I try removing that line?
10:59:28 <warlord> I dunno..
10:59:36 <warlord> Maybe jsled can respond.. it's his code.
10:59:58 <jsled> yeah, it doesn't.
11:00:14 <dbreiser> OK. Thanks for looking. I'll keep going on my gnome upgrade in the meantime
11:01:24 <warlord> Certainly can't hurt.

12:19:48 <wpgmb> I'd like to maintain a simple revenue & expense type of ledger, with unlimited clients added to sub groups, ie: "coffee shop" would be a "folder", in which I can create new clients, ie "Joey P." and "Nellie C." etc. Then when I have an expense or revenue from one of these clients, I could navigate to the "Coffee shop" section and find the client in it. Is that a "smart" way of doing it, or is there a better solution?
12:30:38 <warlord> wpgmb: sounds like a question for an accountant.
12:31:46 <warlord> gotta run.. BIAB.

12:36:42 <wpgmb> for those who'd like to offer another answer, let me clarify: I haven't used GnuCASH yet, but would like to. My question perhaps should be rephrased with "Can I do it this way in G-C, or ...?"

12:46:51 <Patrick_> Hi, is there a good template for an invoice report that fits into a german envelope with a window for an address (except the outdated one on linuxwiki.de)?

12:51:35 <andrewsw> wpgmb: your question is suitable confusing that I don't know what to say.
12:51:56 <andrewsw> gnucash has business features allowing you to setup customers, issue invoices etc.
12:55:23 <andrewsw> you should really look through the documentation: http://www.gnucash.org/docs/v2.0/C/gnucash-help/help.html or http://www.gnucash.org/docs/v2.0/C/gnucash-guide/ to get a feel.
13:00:56 <wpgmb> :o) I know.... I was trying the easy way out... Allright, back to those docs it is. Thanks.

19:50:48 <dbreiser> jsled: there isn't anything since 2.2.2 release that ought to affect my gnc_sx_variable_new_full crash is there?
19:51:02 <dbreiser> because if I build trunk, I don't get the crash.
19:51:19 <dbreiser> that would tend to point a finger at something swig, wouldn't it?

20:05:27 <emlsecundus> Does anyone know the provider url for Washington Mutual?
20:10:01 <dbreiser> I don't see it in any of the usual places
20:11:55 <emlsecundus> dbreiser: Thanks. Is it the sort of thing I should be able to ask the bank directly? Is there a central repository?
20:12:46 <dbreiser> The bank rep would probably not know what you're talking about -- "we're Quicken compatible" is about all you can hope for.
20:13:14 <dbreiser> There is a repository maintained in the MS developer realm, but I've looked there.
20:14:27 <dbreiser> my advice is watch out for a freebie version of quicken, use that to log in (or sort-of log in) once, and find the address from the ofx.log in Quicken
20:15:21 <emlsecundus> dbreiser: If I have an actual copy of quicken, can I get it from one of their data files? Or are those obscured?
20:16:04 <dbreiser> There is a selection in one of the help menus that gives you access to the ofx communication conversation logs.
20:16:32 <emlsecundus> dbreiser: thank you, I'll try that.
20:16:35 <dbreiser> I think in current Quickens, you have to access the log from within quicken. But you can copy and paste
