00:44:10 <jcreigh> so can anyone explain to me why I have to rename a report before I can save it as a custom report?
00:44:31 <warlord> Because reports are identified by name, and must be unique.
00:45:20 <jcreigh> hmm. It's just a little weird because I couldn't find that little fact in the documentation anywhere, and I couldn't figure out why the "Add Report" button was disabled until I found a thread in the ML archives talking about it.
00:48:30 <warlord> Add it to the FAQ
01:02:14 * jcreigh adds it the the FAQ.
01:02:24 <jcreigh> silly I didn't think of doing that myself, considering that's the first place I looked.
01:03:09 <warlord> heh

07:39:22 <andi5> hi warlord ... you are up early!
07:39:46 <warlord> @tell Lucifer There's no document that tells you HOW to modify reports, per se. The reports are scheme programs. http://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/Custom_Reports
07:39:46 <gncbot> warlord: The operation succeeded.
07:39:56 <warlord> andi5: Hi. Yeah, got a flight. Gotta go soon
07:40:33 <andi5> i see
07:41:16 <warlord> @tell johnf Yes, take a look at the payment transaction split into A/R and then look at the Lot and see what transaction belongs in that Lot.
07:41:16 <gncbot> warlord: The operation succeeded.
07:44:28 <warlord> yeah, headig back east today.
07:50:57 <warlord> how are you doing, andi5 ?
07:51:48 <andi5> i am fine.... i am wondering whether i should make a major dependency update for the windows gnucash binary or not.... hmmmm
07:52:01 <warlord> I leave that up to you ;)
07:52:12 <warlord> I trust you to do the right thing and make our users happy.
07:52:22 <andi5> it seems that putting the orbit2 dlls into the \bin folder of 2.2.1 works for me as well

07:53:11 <warlord> As opposed to top-left?
07:53:14 <andi5> yeah
07:53:21 <andi5> and they did not call it applications!!!
07:53:22 <andi5> imagine that
07:53:25 <warlord> You know you can MOVE the start button to the top-left?
07:53:45 <andi5> that is not right... when i click it, a menu pops up
07:53:46 <warlord> (indeed, you can move the taskbar to any side of the screen)
07:54:36 <andi5> well, but that is nice... when i click the key with the same logo as the one at the left of the start label, then that menu pops up as well
07:55:02 <andi5> seems like someone must have used that system and made a cooperation with keyboard builders
07:55:12 <warlord> hehe
07:55:20 <andi5> that is pretty cool =)

But if you do, eg, "Reports > Income & Expense > Income Statement", it will list out all your income and expense accounts, then if you change the date range on the report (under "options" on the toolbar) you should be able to see how much you spent in a year.

16:46:43 <jsled> ... wait, what are you asking for?
16:47:09 <cstim_win> on linux, is there a shared library named libgdk_pixbuf? If yes, to which package does it belong?
16:47:34 <dbreiser> in fink on a mac, it's just gdk-pixbuf
16:48:05 <jsled> Yes, there is; it's part of gtk.
16:48:13 <cstim_win> ok
16:49:06 <jsled> I believe it used (a long time ago) to be a separate package, but got folded into gtk. I can locate it in an old copy of the gtk-2.4.14 soure tree I have lying around.
16:49:44 <cstim_win> no, gtk+ is fine; for our windows build it's in gtk+-2.12.3.zip
16:50:46 <cstim_win> @tell andi5 obviously the pkgconfig file gdk-pixbuf-2.0.pc is missing the dependency on libtiff3.dll. sigh.
