14:19:16 <Gokee2> jsled, Hmm I had been trying to make it forget I ever had a datafile called "test" and bring back the first time startup screen. I rm`d .gconfig* .gnucash and the datafile. I ended up just asking gnucash to make me new accounts without the help of the startup screen. I still can`t write a check though.... Complex program :/

I believe it's because I gave two accounts the same name (as the problem started about the time I added a second investment account with the same name as an existing account) - neither account's balance appears in any report after ~23 Sep 07 - it also causes some weird display changes depending on the account depth - causing parent accounts to not display during the same timeframe
