09:55:47 <warlord> They've been pulling from SVN since Tuesday!
09:56:07 <warlord> e.g. 91.189.90.144 - - [02/Oct/2007:11:03:01 -0400] "PROPFIND /repo/gnucash/trunk HTT

09:56:36 <warlord> I'm debating wehther to block at IP.
09:56:59 <warlord> They've been pulling over 100kbps for the last three days.
09:59:41 <warlord> okay, blocked. If we get email I can unblock it.

16:03:05 *** Ant has joined #gnucash
16:04:22 <Ant> very pleased to find gnucash is now on windows, can anyone tell me if it is capable of synchronising with any Windows Mobile software (if so which)?
16:04:43 <cstim> Ant: no, it is not capable of doing so.
16:05:47 <Ant> ok, thanks for the quick response :( looks like I'll have to resort to MS Money (was hoping to go with GC when I saw it was now on windows)
16:06:15 <Ant> oooh, can it read transactions from Royal Bank of Scotland?
16:06:35 <Simon> they have a rather annoying online banking interface :|
16:07:06 <Ant> they have backend API access, I forget what it's called
16:07:28 <Simon> I simply stopped using them because their interest is a joke
16:08:02 <Ant> that's true, but I've been screwed by every bank but them so far :/
16:08:34 <Simon> they started charging me for something I never requested or agreed to
16:09:07 *** Zoolooc has joined #gnucash
16:11:13 <Ant> found out, MS Money has been able to sync data wirh rbs since 2002, is that likely to be the OFX thing that Gnucash does?
16:13:53 <Ant> the signs are good, seems rbs supports ofx, just can't find the settings anywhere

16:17:11 <Simon> RBS' interface also demands you enable a check box to confirm you read the silly message when you login
16:18:14 <Simon> Ant: there's a download statements page
16:19:51 *** pecisk has quit IRC
16:21:55 <Ant> That's one way, but software can do all that for you (no need to go on the site, log in, download the file, then import it, do that *Daily* and you'll see :D)

18:41:04 <ddimmich> Hi
18:41:07 *** twunder has quit IRC
18:41:46 <ddimmich> does anyone happen to know if multiple currencies are supported using gnucash's business features (accounts receivable, accounts payable)?
18:46:31 <jsled> I believe the answer is no, they are not.
18:46:45 <jsled> warlord can answer for sure.
18:48:10 <warlord> ddimmich: well, they sort of are.. but only serially. You need separate Income, A/R, and Asset accounts for each currency.
18:49:15 <warlord> You can assign a customer a currency, and when you create an invoice the invoice will take on the customer's currency. BUt then you need to make sure you choose income account(s) of that currency, and you need to post to an A/R account of that same currency.. And then when you process the payment, same thing.
18:49:35 <warlord> BUT if you have separate sets of accounts you CAN invoice customer-1 in currency A and customer-2 in currency B.

19:36:48 <andrewsw> warlord: you're right about the reports. at least the one I'm looking at -- income statement.
19:37:25 <andrewsw> (or any other report to use gnc:html-acct-table-add-accts!)
19:38:03 <andrewsw> it recursively calculates the balance of every account and every subaccount by recursing down to the leaf-nodes for each total.
19:38:04 <warlord> It's slow, huh?
19:38:23 <warlord> Yeah, I knew it was bad.. Just didn't know HOW bad..

19:41:19 <andrewsw> and I don't know enough to identify proper tail-recursion, but I don't thinks even doing that.
